Abstract
present article necessity of educational changes in chemical engineers according to the last improvement in teaching methods and logical requirement of industries has been discussed. In one-side the educational program of chemical engineering should be reviewed and changed according to the new concepts in economics and industries. From the other side the preserve of educational goals including teaching of new knowledge to the students notifies that any types of action in order to create basic changes be taken into account very carefully. In order to reach an effective and comprehensive program for the refered goals, some preliminary requirements like classification of chemical engineering departments based on their abilities and regional positions, more emphasis on the fundamental principles of education including transport phenomena and unit operation courses, increasing of applied courses. Teaching of new process design software’s, increasing the number and quality of practical courses and using of industrial specialists in teaching of applied and practical courses have been examined elaborately. Also attention should be made for our country, existing restrictions including the high population of students in universities and the shortcoming of educational and modern industrial equipment. These are effective elements to be useful in this planning.
