Abstract
In this research, petroleum engineering education in Bachelor of Science level (BSc) and research areas of petroleum engineering faculty of different universities in Asia and Australia have been investigated and then it has been compared with Iranian program in order to improve education in the vital and important industries of country. Two universities in Asia and two universities in Australia have been selected. In any case we tried to give information about college, aim and curriculum. This article gives exact definition of ethical and professional function and ability that college should create in a student of petroleum engineering B.Sc. As a conclusion, classification of functions and creating professional groups are two basic techniques in design of research structure. Due to links between science, technology, and economy, it is necessary to take a modern approach in managerial behavior. Therefore awareness of petroleum engineering students of Iran about management skills and economical concepts may be vital for the future of oil and gas industries. Thus adding these to the syllables of petroleum engineering seems to be necessary.
