In the view of Robert Merton, ethical behaviors are the essence of science, hence observing them is essentially useful for the realization of the fundamental goals of science. As such, insights from Merton and Midriff’s theory were integrated into the present studywhich aims at investigating the extent to which   faculty members are committed to science norms and anti-norm bias. To this purpose, a Questionnaire was administered to 460 postgraduate students of Electrical-computer engineering, Mechanical engineering and Chemistry, from three universities in Tehran, Tarbiat Modares, and Shahid Rajaei. The participants’ responses were analyzed using SPSS. The instrument validation was done through factor analysis which led into the extraction of three main components which explained 36/02 percent of the total variance. The results show that the instrument enjoys a satisfactory construct. Furthermore, the reliability of the instrument was estimated through Alpha Cronbach’s as 0.79. The results indicate that postgraduate students of engineering believe scientists and researchers are most often bound to the norms of science, but the results relevant to the anti-norms of science are also noticeable. In addition, with reference to the commitment to the norms and anti-norms of science, degrees of inconsistencies in ideas and beliefs were observed among the participants.  When comparing the Electrical-computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Chemistry students, we found the Chemistry students reported a lower mean for the faculty’s commitment to the norms of science.}, keywords = {Normative Bias,Norms of Science,Anti-normative of Science,Ethics of Science,Morality of Science}, title_fa = {بررسی سوگیری های هنجاری و ضدهنجاری نسبت به اخلاق علم در بین اعضای هیئت علمی: از دیدگاه دانشجویان تحصیلات تکمیلی}, abstract_fa = {امروزه تولید علم یکی از وظایف و رسالت‌های مهمی است که بر دوش دانشگاه‌ها گذاشته شده است. «رابرت مرتن» رفتار اخلاقی را (هنجارها) ذات علم می‌داند و اقتدا به آنها را برای تحقق اهداف نهادی علم مفید قلمداد می‌کند. بدین منظور، پژوهش حاضر به دنبال بررسی میزان پایبندی اعضای هیئت علمی به هنجارهای علمی و سوگیری‌های ضدهنجاری، با الهام از تئوری مرتن و میتروف انجام شده است. برای نیل به هدف تحقیق، این پرسشنامه بر روی 460 دانشجوی تحصیلات تکمیلی در رشته-های تحصیلی مهندسی برق-کامپیوتر، مهندسی مکانیک و شیمی؛ و در سه دانشگاه تهران، تربیت مدرس و شهید رجایی اجرا شده است. داده‌های تحقیق پس از جمع‌آوری با استفاده از نرم‌افزارSPSS مورد تحلیل قرارگرفته است. اعتبار پرسشنامه با استفاده از تحلیل عاملی بررسی و سه عامل استخراج گردید. این عوامل بر روی هم 02/36 درصد کل واریانس متغیرها را تبیین می‌کنند که نشان می‌دهد این ابزار تا حدودی از روایی کافی برخوردار است. پایایی پرسشنامه با استفاده از ضریب آلفای کرونباخ محاسبه و برابر با 79/0 حاصل شد. دانشجویان تحصیلات تکمیلی فنی-مهندسی دانشگاه‌های مورد مطالعه، به این باور هستند که دانشمندان و محققین اغلب از هنجارهای علم تبعیت می‌کنند. اما با توجه به نتایج آماری، مقادیر بدست آمده از ضدهنجارهای علم نیز قابل ملاحظه است. از طرفی بین نظرات دانشجویان رشته‌های تحصیلی مهندسی برق- کامپیوتر، مهندسی مکانیک و شیمی در پیروی از هنجارهای علم و ضدهنجارهای علمی اساتید تفاوت قابل ملاحظه‌ای دیده شد. میانگین نمرات دانشجویان شیمی در پیروی اساتید از هنجارهای علمی نسبت به سایر رشته‌ها کمتر است.}, keywords_fa = {سوگیری هنجاری,هنجارهای علم,ضدهنجارهای علم,آداب علم,اخلاقیات علم}, url = {https://ijee.ias.ac.ir/article_31967.html}, eprint = {https://ijee.ias.ac.ir/article_31967_29dcf3b5502d3c25f58d9262074f8095.pdf} }
