The purpose of the present research was a survey on moral intelligence in engineering college at the University of Kashan. The type of research was applied research and survey research. The population of this research was all the engineering students in Kashan University of whom, 300 students were selected. The data were collected using moral intelligence questionnaires with 40 items in components four in terms of Likert 5 scale. Questionnaire validity confirmed by experts. By the use of Cronbach alpha coefficient, reliability coefficients were obtained, equal to 0.897. Data’s analysis does in inferential level (one sample T test, independent T-test and one way ANOVA) by SPSS 18 statistical software. Findings indicated that mean four components of moral intelligence in students was higher than average. The highest mean score related to honest 3.81. Also, there was significant difference among the students moral intelligence in terms of sex, marriage status and academic fields but this difference wasn't significant in terms of academic performance and academic course.

In fact, there is universal agreement that an engineer must have a broad range of knowledge and skills beyond the technical expertise of its study field. Integrated curriculum provides a framework to enable students toward linking knowledge and skills of multiple disciplines. Hence, they can use this knowledge and skills to solve real world problems. Given the importance of this issue, in this paper, the necessity for integrated/interdisciplinary curriculum in engineering education in the twenty-first century will be emphasized and the results of two empirical studies of engineering education curricula in Iran are offered, including 1) curriculum from viewpoint of lecturers and students of engineering and 2) analyzing courses syllabus of engineering. Finally, addressing the question “What do we want engineering students to know, do, and be?” an approach to design of integrated curriculum in engineering education is proposed. This approach can be used to develop new curricula or revise the current curricula.

The history of the Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Management, as a young section of Iranian Oil Industry, goes back to more than a decade. During this period, the HSE management followed 3 categories; which include providing the health of the human resources, the safety of the equipment and tools and the protection of the environment as its three main objectives. By having a look at the upstream and the development of the related academic HSE majors in the universities, we can say that they do not comply with the requirements of the industry. And as an independent, integrated and specific field, it could not give a practical framework for the industry. Lack of the HSE experts, is one of the challenges in this industry, and universities could have a major role in solving it. In the present study, the necessity of the development of HSE majors in the universities, as a specific subject for upstream, has been emphasized. The establishment of the independent HSE majors and introducing an obligatory course named: “The Familiarity with Basic Health, Safety & Environment” is recommended in this article to help developing this field of study in related majors in the upstream field.

The third mission of the university that led to the creation of an entrepreneurial university is providing the socio-economic needs of the community in the form of commercialization of university knowledge and creation of academic entrepreneurship. However, the ability to transform academic research into commercial products is a key component of the formation of spin off companies. Review of academic research literature on entrepreneurial university reveals that the logic governing selection of subject of research and conducting it has rather been neglected .Using grounded method, as case study, Sharif University of Technology, as one of the foremost universities in the country, was examined. The main factors affecting the selection of subject and the way of performing it is derived. Among the factors recognized, insurance of reaching reasonable results and the capability of being published were two basic criteria governing this selection process. Finally some solutions to overcome this situation are introduced through practical means.

The emergence of new developmental perspectives in the framework of evolving knowledge societies and economies in different countries and the necessity of human resources needed to accomplish such goals, the redefinition of graduate programs policies is vital in the higher education systems. Accordingly, the doctoral programs must meet the demands of the labor market in different sectors of society. Perhaps, the importance of doctoral graduates' skills development in response to labor market needs may be outlined as one of the most important attributes of the new graduate research programs. In the graduate programs of the developed countries higher education institutes, especially the European universities, the experiences earned by students through research and transferable skills training have an outstanding impact on their career prospects. This paper introduces the generic and transferable skills, and presents an overview of the different types of research skills that have a special role in graduate programs. Then the transferable skills are discussed and examples of such skills are explained. Later on, the issue of skills training is considered and different training methods used in this field have been presented. In the next section, the paper outlines several experiences of skills training in doctoral engineering programs. Finally, the paper briefly looks at the weakness of the transferable skills training in doctoral programs in Iran and the need to address this issue, especially in research-based Ph.D programs that their implementation has recently begun in Iran.

The aim of the present research is assessing the impact of organizational training on implementation of project management, focusing on four areas (time management, cost management, project quality management, and human resource management) out of ten project management areas in National Oil Company of Iran. The methodology of this research is practical in terms of purpose and evaluation research – quasi-experiment – in terms of type method. The studied statistical population consists of project managers of National Oil Company of Iran who have taken part in training courses of the Oil Company. Applying Carejesi sample volume table, the 285 cases have been selected through simple random sampling. Researcher-made questionnaire has been used for data collection. For determining content validity, we provided the advisor, reader and other specialists with the needed material. The questionnaire durability was determined by %79 Cronbach's alpha quotient. Descriptive statistics (average, frequency, standard deviation and …) and deductive statistics (mixed T and covariance analysis) were used for data analysis. Consequently the results were analyzed using SPSS software. The results of the analyses and the comparison of pretest and past-test data analysis showed that the impact of organizational trainings on time management and cost management were efficient; whereas, these trainings were inefficient for the other two areas namely the quality management and human resource management.

The purpose of this paper is to investigate the effectiveness of automotive industry engineering education. This research is designed using holistic instruction design and four-component instructional design model (4C/ID) in Iran Khodro Company. Research method is quasi-experimental. Pretest and posttest control group design is used. Sample consists of 40 engineers of Iran Khodro in the standardization of workstations. As an experimental group, 20 engineers and 20 others were selected as the control group. The research instruments consisted of three questionnaires for measuring satisfaction with the course, and a test of attitudes toward academic achievement. Results showed that the holistic approach 4C/ID model in the automotive industry led training courses is effective (p>0/01). Learners in courses designed model (4C/ID) better satisfaction (p = 0.01) and more positive attitudes (p = 0/02) were compared to the mentioned course. However, significant differences between the two groups did not learn about the components.
<OtherAbstract Language="FA">The purpose of this paper is to investigate the effectiveness of automotive industry engineering education. </OtherAbstract>
