Abstract

The aim of the present research is assessing the impact of organizational training on implementation of project management, focusing on four areas (time management, cost management, project quality management, and human resource management) out of ten project management areas in National Oil Company of Iran. The methodology of this research is practical in terms of purpose and evaluation research – quasi-experiment – in terms of type method.  The studied statistical population consists of project managers of National Oil Company of Iran who have taken part in training courses of the Oil Company. Applying Carejesi sample volume table, the 285 cases have been selected through simple random sampling.  Researcher-made questionnaire has been used for data collection. For determining content validity, we provided the advisor, reader and other specialists with the needed material. The questionnaire durability was determined by %79 Cronbach's alpha quotient. Descriptive statistics (average, frequency, standard deviation and …) and deductive statistics (mixed T and covariance analysis) were used for data analysis. Consequently the results were analyzed using SPSS software. The results of the analyses and the comparison of pretest and past-test data analysis showed that the impact of organizational trainings on time management and cost management were efficient; whereas, these trainings were inefficient for the other two areas namely the quality management and human resource management.
