Abstract
An engineering student who has not been in working environments and is not familiar with modern businesses may not know the significance of having an awareness of management knowledge and its various skills. An engineer who is involved in modern organizations, however, is fully aware of the importance and necessity of this knowledge. When an engineer is promoted to managing or supervisory positions and manages or supervises the other engineers of an organization, the necessity of having the knowledge of management becomes more obvious. Without having managing skills, an engineer who has just been trained technically will not be able to perform such tasks successfully. Concerning this point and the necessity of holding effective courses for senior managers, in this study, the training needs of senior managers with regard  to triple skills of managers from Dr Ketzُs point of view (technical, human, and perceptive skills) has been related to a definition of management (reaching the goals and missions of the organization efficiently and effectively). This study also deals with the need for training managing skills to engineers with the goal of nurturing managers on the basis of Merit Model. Concerning the goal, the present study is considered as an applied research.
