References to engineering materials in Aroozie s Four Essays Nasser - Khosrow s Travel Book, Marzban Nameh, Majmoatol Forass, Beyhagh s History Book and Parts of Borhan Ghatee are searched and presented. The references include description of some basic metals such as iron, copper, zinc, tin, mercury and steel and brass alloys, as well as their applications. Brazing and coating technologies and their technological terms are given. References to non-metals, ceramics and few civil and mechanical engineering terms are summerized.
