Western literature attributes the discovery and development of bronze, brass and metallic zinc to non-Iranian nations. In this article, the relevant evidence and documents about the role of Iran in the discovery and development of these alloys and also metallic zinc are presented. According to these documents, with a probability approaching certainty, bronze, brass and metallic zinc have for the first time been made and used in Iran.
