Abstract
A literature survey has been conducted, documented and published on the work of Iranian researchers and scientists in different fields of civil engineering. In addition, the history of science related to civil engineering and its evolutionary process has been investigated. Based on this research, case studies have been presented in the area of construction of dams in different historical eras of ancient Iran.
