Although designing and implementing of knowledge system are common process, there are different processes based upon knowledge nature. Knowledge is a common sense for science, information, experience, and analytical tools. Therefore, we could study different knowledge areas with its components for differentiation and classifications. This paper includes the systemic approach to present functions and methods of knowledge engineering, and knowledge mapping. After analyzing some features of dimensions, processes and alternatives for knowledge mapping, knowledge architecture prepares the conditions to continue all steps of systemic approach of knowledge engineering. Based on these steps the principals of creation to produce knowledge in seven procedures are presented. The paper analyzes designing methods based on framework of shadow team and knowledge system engineering activities to reach the designing strategies of knowledge system process. At final section, the paper surveys tools and knowledge engineering performances from experts' viewpoints of Research and Technology Petrochemical Company.
