In this paper tele-operation systems are considered. After introducing these systems and their specifications, essential parameters are considered. In 1985 Vertut and Coiffet presented an index for evaluating mechanical or machine tele-operation systems including 32 traits. In these indexes parameters like tracking, stability and security factors are not considered or a negligible contribution is assigned to them. In this paper after adding some corrections and extensions to this available idea some suggestions based on new developments in this area are applied to categorize all parameters into 5 main categories.
